Six Weeks in Sepia...
Cam will be 6 weeks tomorrow! He is getting so big! I had Paul hold him on the scale yesterday and according to our at home calculations, which we did more than once, Cam now weighs 10 lbs 6 oz! Everyone at church keeps telling us that we have the smallest baby etc. and when we tell them how old he is, they always tell us that he is so tiny, like a newborn baby. I think he is growing like a weed and that he looks like a very healthy, filling out 6 week old! He has been smiling at us for about a week now, but the last few days or so he really turned on the charm! I can't wait for him to get even more smiley; get more of those real big, wide open mouth smiles. It has taken him 6 weeks to wake up, but now he is awake for a lot longer stretches during the day. He is still really chill, but he does like to be held. I remember a lot of people telling us that Avery had a really round head when she was a baby, and we have been told the same about Cam. The other day he when he was fussing, I picked him up and I realized that my babies have round heads cause we hold them a lot; they are totally spoiled! Oh well, there is nothing better than holding Cam and taking in his new baby smell. Cam doesn't really like to be on his belly if we just lay him flat on it, but he seems to enjoy being propped up on the boppy. He doesn't like to be swaddled anymore. His right tear duct seems to be clogged like Avery's was, and his eye is usually goopy and watery. I massage the corner of his eye a lot hoping that it will clear up, if not, I will see what his pediatrician says at his two month appointment in a couple of weeks. As for me, my 6 week appointment is tomorrow morning and I am excited to get the go ahead to work out. Avery is loving preschool and has made some cute friends in the ward that we have been doing stuff with during the week. The weather here can't decide if it wants to be hot or cold, but I believe that there is some pretty warm weather in the forecast for this week so hopefully we can get outside and enjoy it!
