Happy 4 weeks!

It is so much easier to enjoy a newborn the second time around! With Avery I was nervous and didn't feel like we knew what we were doing... it is pretty surreal to bring a new baby home from the hospital. I remember that with Avery, we didn't quite know what to make of the situation. I am by no means a perfect parent, but since I have done the baby thing once before, this time around I expect and anticipate things differently. I find myself enjoying Cam much more than I did Avery; MEANING that I'm out of school and am not worried about every little sound etc. Not that I am rough with Cam but I remember it taking me a long time to get Avery dressed. How do you get their little bent arms in a onsie without hurting them? That's the kind of question that floated around my mind constantly. Now I'm a pro at putting onsies on, no injuries involved. I love giving Cam baths mostly because he smells so absolutely delicious afterwards. Nothing beats that newborn freshly bathed and lotioned smell. His little features are so cute and perfect. A few other things about Cam... his eyes are still really dark. They aren't brown but it is hard to tell if he will have blue or green eyes. I can't remember when Avery's went really blue. He has a very obvious cowlick in the front of his hair. His hair is growing in a perfect circle, not sure what to make of it! Speaking of hair, he hasn't lost his hair yet; I'm sure that it's coming, but for now he still has brown hair. He has two horse shoe shaped hemangiomas (birth marks) on his belly. We noticed them a couple of weeks ago and when I asked the pediatrician about them, he told me they are just birth marks, but are so light that they will probably go away in a few years. They are red vascular marks and are really noticeable when he is cold. At least they are on his belly!
Avery started preschool last week and had a blast! She is going Tuesday and Thursday mornings and has been excited all weekend for her class tomorrow. I'm so glad she can get out and be with kids her own age. I'm sure that she gets sick of me all day long.
I officially started working out today. My mom and I went to a spin class this morning at the Y and I actually really enjoyed myself. It was a HARD workout, especially since I haven't been active for a very long time. I'm sure that I won't be able to walk tomorrow, but I'm planning on going on Wednesday; hopefully by then I will be recovered! I wasn't very good at taking pictures this week! Since cam can't sit up and sleeps the day away, most of the pictures I take of him look the same... Here is a cute one of sleeping boy from yesterday.

Its so weird... he really does remind me of Brayden sometimes. I wonder if they will have the same coloring... with the hazel eyes like their dads and skin that turns brown so easily. Also, I am glad you don't worry as much this time around (not that I noticed you worrying with Avery)... I think number 2 is defintaely a different experience. Love you guys.
